TRAVEL LOG RULES AND TRIPS TERMS

These rules are part of the RoomRateIQ Terms of Use. By using Trips or posting a travel log you agree to them.

1. Your trips are private

Trip plans and saved places are visible only to you. For Meetup, other users see only your city and dates.

2. Your travel logs

2.1 You own what you write and the photos you upload.

2.2 When you make a log Link or Public, you give RoomRateIQ a free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, display, and show it on RoomRateIQ pages (including city pages) for as long as it stays shared. You can end this at any time by making the log private or deleting it.

2.3 We will not sell your logs or use your photos in paid advertising without asking you first.

3. What you promise

When you share a log you confirm that:

(a) it is about a real trip you took, and it is honest;

(b) the text and photos are your own, or you have permission to use them;

(c) anyone who can be clearly recognised in your photos has agreed to be shown, and no child can be clearly recognised unless you are their parent or guardian;

(d) it does not share anyone's private details (phone, address, room number, number plates, documents).

4. Not allowed in travel logs

- Anything sexual, obscene, hateful, violent, threatening or illegal.

- False statements of fact that damage a person, hotel, restaurant or business. Share your honest experience and opinion, but do not make up facts.

- Advertising, paid or fake reviews, or posting for a business you own or work for without saying so.

- Copied text or photos from other websites or people.

- Photos of other people taken without their knowledge in private places.

- Anything that breaks the Meetup Community Rules or the Terms of Use.

5. Honest reviews of places

Your opinion of a hotel, restaurant or place is your own. RoomRateIQ does not check or endorse it. If you mention a business, stick to what you personally experienced.

6. Your safety

Do not post your current location or where you are staying while you are still travelling. We remove location data from photos automatically, but you are responsible for what you write.

7. Our rights

We may hide, edit (only to remove private details), or remove any log, and suspend or ban accounts, if a log breaks these rules or the law, or after a valid complaint. We act on court and government orders as the law requires.

8. Complaints

If a log is about you, shows you, or uses your work without permission, tap "Report" or contact our Grievance Officer at [email protected] (see /grievance). We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days. Content showing a person's nudity or impersonating them is acted on within 24 hours.

9. Responsibility

Travel logs are the personal views of their writers, not of RoomRateIQ. RoomRateIQ is not responsible for their content or for any decision made by relying on them. The Limitation of Liability and Indemnity sections of the Terms of Use also apply to travel logs.

10. Deleting

You can delete a log or your whole account at any time. Deleted logs are removed from the site immediately. As required by Indian law, we keep a private record of removed content for 180 days, then delete it.
